A lot of companies in the midst of acquisition negotiations go out of their way to ensure that their operation remains client focused during those negotiations, if only to maintain the value of the assets they are selling. I am puzzled as to why CDM could not do the same thing. Because of their actions, I will not be playing diamond challenge for the first time ever.

Some guys will be loyal to a fault, but entries are going to take a HUGE hit because of this garbage. It will end up being a big misrepresentation to the new company of the typical entry amounts they probably promised. Not that Charlie will care.

I'm pretty sure they realize signups will be down this year.

Loyalty is vastly overrated. I have no loyalty to any of the games. If I like what they offer - Im in...and the players who are upset at CDM and are refusing to play this year...odds are they will be back next season. People have a tendency to get past these perceived injustices - especially when there are benefits in it for them. Those who enjoy the game - will return. Hopefully both CDM & Fantrax games can be successful.

With CDM and Trax both open for business now, the chatter has calmed down here a bit. Thanks for setting up this board to share thoughts during the process even though I was mostly a reader only.
One final post that can't really go on either of the two sites, I do have a yearly NCAA Brackets contest that has drawn more than 700 entries the past few years. I also have a squares board that is expanded to include 20 opportunities to win starting in the Sweet 16 games. If you are interested in the information on these contest, drop me an e-mail to redair123@yahoo.com, and I will be happy to forward the information. This contest started as a CDM Hoops BBS with Hammy's Boys, and has expanded significantly the past 13 years. A pretty wide group of participants from different states and countries.
